Our GoalsOur agency has dual goals, not only to place children with parents desiring to adopt, but also to contribute to the children left behind in Korea who are not placed with adoptive families usually because of physical or mental handicaps. Since our founding in 1978 we have contributed millions of dollars to child welfare in Korea by aiding Eastern Social Welfare Society in Korea establish a permanent facility. The center in Seoul has facilities for expectant mothers, handicapped children and schools with grades kindergarten through high school. We have kept to a minimum our administrative costs for the placement of children so that all possible funds, donations and contributions are directed toward the support of Eastern Child Welfare Center. Together with the support of our generous contributors we have been able to aid Eastern build the Love the Children Hospital and Esther’s House (home for unwed mothers) and we have also provided supplies, medicines, vans, medical and other equipment. Our annual toy drive raises thousands of toys and items of clothing which we ship to Korea. The center has great meaning in the lives of the children served by Eastern Social Welfare Society and it is a great privilege to work with them.
